Last night was the last draw. I've had enough of my 30gb 5.5 gen iPod so like I told youz yesterday, I want to replace it with a fatboy nano; I just purchased one from Apple and it should arrive just before Thanksgiving. I'll keep us posted.
(UPDATE: The nano arrived the next day. Way to go Apple. It could have been under 24 hours..free shipping too!)
(UPDATE2, Nov28,2008: It's been only 1week since I got the nano but I must say that I love it! the battery NEVER gets too low, I can play these built in games all day, listening to music and it won't even go past 1/2 a charge. I'm addicted to Klondike and the MusicQuiz2, but know that i must get my ID tags in shape.. years are off on some songs and the quiz game uses that tag to ask you "what year was this single [playing in the background] released.)
(UPDATE3, Feb1,2009: I use my Nano almost every day. I can't say enough how surprised I am with its battery life. I've only experienced the warning message of "Low Battery, connect to power..." once! On recent morning I noticed it had been playing nonstop for over 12hours (by accident) and yet the battery indicator registered an adequate amount of charge remaining. My only gripe is that I would rather Apple make the clock that's barely visible when the Nano is in Play mode, or when the backlight is off, accessible by a click! In fact, I think there should be a menu item to view or toggle the Clock since it's very large, easy to read and takes up the whole screen. This could, and should replace the barely readable, easily overlooked (even neglectable) clock in the iPod's top indicator bar. One other thing, at 8GB, it can't store my top rated playlists so I have to be creative. Some years from now and if these devices are still selling, I'd want a huge one but flash based like the nano, NOOOO moving parts!
