To the web

Everything we used to do offline has now become webcentric. Remember the old days how your teacher made you keep a written journal. You were told to record daily events or write about what you feel. You probably used one of those black and white compositions books. Those days are over; yet it seems like yesterday we were writing them. well of course now we have the world wide web. Today, blogging has replaced the written journal. The effects are the same, but it's much easier and efficient to do journal/blog online. Thought the 'internet' has exisited since the '60's, the commercials side of the web is only a teenager. At this point, the web has evovled into a truly unique experience that we as the nascent users of it, probably have no idea where it's going to take us. One day, I'd imagine we'd speak to the web or some device that would respond with a voice and text letting us know what the results are and the engine would be able to discern the good from the bad. One day.. but today, it's type away, look until your eyes bulge out and sit on your rear gaining weight. The future is here, yet ther's always room for improvement. How many years away will we be able to speak to the net and have the net speak back to us?

Pain go away

So I'm going throught the weekly Sunday ritual. You know, getting ready for work, taking out the trash, tidying up the house when suddenly I get this aching headache. It wasn't the normal type of pound-pound-pound headache. This was purely tension as both temples pulsed with slight pain. I didn't want to take any pain reliever just yet. I've been through this before and know the wonted signs of tension. Later, I hopped in the shower and took a mild spritz of hot/warm then rinsed with cold water. I'm out of the shower and prepping for bed. As I write this sentence, my tension has dropped so much that I can rest now. In fact, I really don't feel any pain. Yeah! The point of this entry is, we shouldn't be so quick to pop a pill when our body is trying to tell us to just find a method to relax. I find, for myself, that a hot, warm then cold shower relieves enough pain that pain to a point that a pain reliever isn't required.

Avant

Avant is one of the better singers in the game this decade. I'm somone who can listen to Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Joe, Donell Jones...oh I could go on.
But if you take the last say 7 years (the 2000's) what male R&B artist has really recorded, performed and stayed current. Joe has to be up there, but I have to give my props to Avant. I enjoy his albums a bit more than Joe. I'm not saying Joe doesn't have his stripes, he does! Joe's been around longer than Avant yet Avant just seems to keep coming up with more relevant material. Long live AVANT! What would my favorite Avant song be? So far, it's "Don't Say No, Say Yes"
